EDISON
"Hoping that the Edison IV people will no longer bring their two anitos with them in college?"
Miss Luzviminda L. Laquian

EDISON IV is a cluster of witty, warm-hearted, jolly individuals. We can build a company of our own from the jokes we sell the multitudes. (How about calling it corny love?) Outsider can never leave our classroom without being bombarded with lots of ridiculous notions, pairing her/him with one of our classmates. But we've got plenty of petty love teams, too, within our class, as Joy and Manny, Teddy and Marie (a stone for a stone and a cock for a hen). Not wanting to be behind movie love teams, we've got triangles, too. (Wanna be the third party?) We even have squares, but pops, they're no love teams at all; they are the heads of Gary and Teddy! In exasperation, you may cry, "who in the world is the leader of this class?" Thud! Thud! Thud! No, there isn't any earthquake. Neither was King Kong around. It's Gary and his big foot! It's Edgar Templonuevo, the barangay leder of Edison IV. According to rumors, he has 12-inch foot, which later became the symbol of our class. Upon entering our homeroom, you will readily notice a pair of feet drawn and cut in a yellow cartolina. Similarly, in our seatplan, feet were made to represent the seats. We have also our anitos, two extraordinarily shaped stones, one in the form of a feet and the other, in the form of a head with a flat back (that's Gary and Teddy's head). We just love those anitos, even bringing them with us in our class picture taking.

You see, we've got all of 'em mixed up in one. We have the "first lady of Barok", that Korokan (Badette), lots of money from the bank (Ditas), a most unique frog for she's so quiet and so shy unlike other frogs we know (Ruth), and a relative of Teddy and Marie (Edgar) for he's a cock, too. We could have our own parlour but it's sure to be "for bald and curlies only", with Ma-an "lubog" and Marissa "Tikya" as patrons.

But Edison IV is not just a bunch of people who do nothing but laugh and play. We are proud to say that we, too, have our commendations. First, we have the most number of model platoon members. We have mathematics wizards (Romy and Roland) as well as good artists, too, (Kinjo, Francis, Ferdie and Teddy). We are proud of having the most well-versed students in the field of general information (Dindo, Manny, Noel) besides having the most outstanding Hi-yer of the year and at the same time an awardee for academic excellence in Social Studies (Roland). There's Sylvia, the composer of poems, whether be it in English, Pilipino or Bi-lingual, and a good one at that! Called for during choral group presentations are the musical voices of our girls (Marilou, Bing, Joy, Resie and Janette and Mitos). There are also excellent dancers (Rico, Marie, Susan, Ferdie, Dindo, Noel, Manny, Roland...), who have joined in group dancing, not withstanding the fact that all Edisons are graceful and easily trained - sighting for instance our dancing in Health IV. We have the sexiest, the smartest, most awarded platoon leader of the year, and that's none other than Offie. We have an honest kid (Jose Llorca), a black kid (Mike), a german kid (Ariel) and what have you--

We can't deny that unity is hard to foster. But in our class, at such a short time span, one could almost readily feel the fellowship that binds us together. We've learned to laugh lightly at our own mistakes and applaud our achievements.

Edison IV people are gifted especially in the sense that each and everyone has his/her own ability of making an individual feel confident and important in his own way. Right in the middle of a silent and serious lesson, there's no doubt someone's gonna pop out and crack a joke and that's supposed to be our own way of enlightening the topic on hand. Everybody's gonna burst into laughter and even shed tears of overwhelming joy.

But above all these silly, witty, wondrous things, we have the most beautiful adviser, Miss Luz Laquian. In our day to day endeavor, she guides and shines that beautiful smile which in turn gives us inspiration in all our difficulties.
